Women Empowerment in Southeast Asia’s Clean Energy Economy

Women-founded and women-led startups are getting a bigger share of the limelight in Southeast Asia. However, they still represent a very small fraction of the startups’ scene. This is also the case for the rest of the world. In 2019, there were only 20% women-led start-ups, and 21 new female-led unicorns out of nearly 150 new unicorns.

So what are the challenges that women entrepreneurs are facing? How can they overcome them? Which supports are currently available for women founders?

To shed some light on the burning questions mentioned above, we have invited representatives coming from women-led startups, supporting organizations, and venture capital, currently based in Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines
